5. Wild Animals- Find the pair game (Bilingual Polish-English Memory Cards)

Learn English through play. Polish-English Education memory game helps children and adults to remember lots of new English vocabulary. Includes phonetic transcription and a card which could be used as a topic dictionary. On the other side of the card dictionary is a game or a task that helps you remember the vocabulary from previous topics. A simple game that can be enjoyed by a variety of ages. Excellent for high school use. Part of a set which teaches 1000 English words in 33 Thematic Groups.

Card game rules

The game can be played by 2 to 6 players. The goal is to collect the most pairs of cards. Start of the game: shuffle the cards and lay them on the table, face down, in a pattern (e.g. 8 cards x 8 cards). The youngest player goes first. Play then proceeds clockwise. On each turn, a player turns over two cards and keeps them if they match pictures. If the pictures are matching then the player takes another turn. When a player turns over two cards that do not match pictures, those cards are turned face down again and it becomes the next player’s turn. The winner is the player who owns the most pairs.
